The Category Manager is responsible for growing one of our product categories, reviewing and monitoring its performance, growing its revenue contribution, leading expansion into new geographies, and pursuing our biggest opportunities systematically in close collaboration with our partner management and functional operations teams. The Category Manager has a close tab on emerging product demand and ensures to meet margin targets with healthy sustainable growth.

Please note, this team is based in European time zones, and we are specifically looking for people to join us in these time zones ±2 hours only.

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Creating and developing a strategic long term plan for the development of the category

  • Maximize sustainable revenue generation within our website builder vertical

  • Business/Investment Planning of product vertical

Operational Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report on performance across all important KPIs

  • Generate Day-to-day insights and distribute across functions and leadership

  • Identify additional growth potential

  • Sprint planning and daily steering of functional resources according to category needs and potential

  • Drive projects to realize the growth potential

  • Analyzing data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends regarding the product and category

  • Developing an exit strategy for unsuccessful products

  • Collaborating with partner managers to expand product categories

Interview Process

At betterbusiness, we care a lot about who we hire. In order to create the most impact for our partners, we need to build high performing teams. Our recruitment process consists of four stages:

  1. Application

  2. Initial 15-30 minute conversation with the hiring manager

  3. Meet the team: 3 interviews up to one hour each with the hiring manager and co-workers. Depending on the role, we may ask how you would solve a problem and present your solution to the team

  4. Decision
